Went and saw the movie Collateral tonight. How many cabbies do you know that can score a lawyer, no matter how many times they save their life? Movie did have some great action, but a bit of a weak ending.

In other news, finally got my resume posted to monster and hotjobs. Let's see if I get any quick bites. Seems funny to search for a job in the same field as the one I work in, but maybe it will be different at another company. For some reason I want to believe it is the company/situation/town I am in rather than the work I do, but I am truly afraid I may have lost my passion for my profession completely.

The biggest issue is that I chose a career path that paid well, therefore I have an expensive car payment, some credit card debt, etc that prevents me from hopping into a lower paying field or really going all out and heading into grad school. If only I had passed the foreign service exam (if only I had done even a minute amount of studying). Hard test.

Right now, options are:
1. Hope to move to another job in my field in a decent location.
2. Join the army, hoping to get foreign relations experience.
3. Start looking seriously into grad school and how the hell I can afford it.

Right now, I hate my current job, and it is starting to show. Not sure how much time I have left there even if I didn't look for something new.

First Post

Welcome to the blog about nothing. My plan for the next few months is to give this a try for a bit. Mainly this will be a gripe fest about how crappy living and working for the man has become.

Don't get me wrong, the carrot on the end of the stick looked great to me for awhile AND I am really jealous of all those that still believe that reaching that carrot doesn't mean they gave up their lives in the souless pursuit of what they didn't really want, but I don't want to get too deep into this yet. I have many days to deal with the subject and I have many other subjects I look forward to covering.

till tomorrow
